Old St. Vital has been our neighbourhood for 30 Years!

We're the team behind the flowers, the clean storefronts, and the events for businesses and the people who visit them.

What We Do

We handle the things that make a neighbourhood feel cared for so businesses can focus on what they do best.

Summer Beutification

Seasonal floral displays and streetscaping that make the zone visually welcoming spring through fall.

Cooperative marketing

Social media, events, and promotions that drive foot traffic across the whole zone.

Graffiti removal

Fast response to graffiti and vandalism keeps the zone looking maintained and professional.

Community events

Markets, festivals, and seasonal events that bring people into the area and celebrate local spirit.

Business outreach

Advocacy, networking, and grant support to help member businesses grow in the zone.

Public art & decor

Murals, banners, and seasonal installations that give the zone its own distinct character.

Three decades of keeping Old St. Vital worth visiting.

The BIZ was formed in 1996 when local business owners recognized something shopping malls had already figured out: when businesses work together to improve the area around them, everyone benefits — stores, residents, and visitors alike.

The concept originated in Toronto in the early 1970s, and the City of Winnipeg Act was amended in 1987 to enable it here. Old St. Vital was one of the first to embrace it.
